About us

Welcome to Kwenye Kozi Foundation

The name Kwenye Kozi comes from two Swahili words meaning "On Course." This reflects our core mission: Aligning Destinies.
 
Our journey began in 2012 with a simple outreach in Ishongororo, Ibanda District. Since then, we have never looked back. While we officially registered in 2025, our team spent the intervening years volunteering and leading outreaches wherever there was a need.
 
I invite you to join our team as we work to keep lives "on course." Together, we can align destinies for a brighter future.

Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)

We support communities and schools with access to safe water, improved sanitation facilities, and hygiene education to reduce disease and improve public health.

Over the years, Kwenye Kozi Foundation has implemented several community-based initiatives aimed at addressing poverty, improving sanitation, and supporting vulnerable populations.

Banda Slum Project

The Banda Slum Project focused on education empowerment specifically at HASAYA Primary School located within one of Kampala’s underserved urban communities. We introduced the Happy Child Program which focused on empowering over 200 children with mindset change through performance, arts and literature.

Ishongororo Mission – Ibanda

Through the Ishongororo Mission in Ibanda District, the Foundation collaborated with local communities and faith-based partners to support vulnerable families and children. Activities included community outreach, food aid and educational support initiatives aimed at strengthening social welfare within the community.

Mulago Hospital Ministry

At Mulago Hospital, the Foundation carried out outreach initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable patients and caregivers. This ministry provided spiritual encouragement, basic support to patients in need, and community engagement activities within the hospital environment.

Refresh Project

Refresh Project focused on equitable access to WASH for Refugees and Host Communities in Nakivale Refugee Settlement, one of the largest settlements in Uganda located in Isingiro district. REFRESH project was designed to address structural vulnerabilities through integrated WASH intervention, community education , gender empowerment and climate resilience.
